Core Trade Courses

 All work permit and S-Pass holders are required to upgrade their skills to ensure they are able to work in Singapore for 18 to 22 years. Having this trade base skills, companies get to enjoy reduction in worker levies rates and thus increasing their company productivity.
Under the core trade scheme, workers can be registered under one of these categories based on their years of experience in the construction industry:
1. Core Trade Tradesman (4-5 years experience) (No theory test. Practical Test Only)
2. Core Trade Foreman (6-7 years experience) (Theory & Practical Test)
3. Core Trade Supervisor (8-9 years experience) (Theory & Practical Test)
Companies need to upgrade a percentage of their existing R2 workers to R1 category by end of 2016. Core Trade Scheme assist companies in fulfilling this requirement.

WATERPROOFING

Participants are trained on practical skills in waterproofing activities. Trainees who pass the Core Trade practical assessment will be register under the BCA Core Trade Scheme.
